How does Sell 2 Swansway work?

We aim to make selling your car to us straightforward and stress-free. No need to deal with pushy salespeople, timewasters or worry about people coming back after the sale has been finalised - with us, you can literally sell your car from your sofa in under 5 minutes. Pop your reg number and mileage into our search. Then, we’ll ask you to upload a few photos. We’ll use this information as a basis to give you a valuation which is 100% guaranteed for 7 days. Once you’ve accepted our offer, we’ll come to collect the car at a time and place that’s convenient for you. We’ll do a quick inspection when we collect the car to make sure it’s in the condition that you described to us and, providing everything matches up, and you’ll have your money in the bank before we leave your property. It really is that straightforward and worry-free.

Are there any conditions to any estimate that I receive?

In the vast majority of cases, the price we quote you is what we’ll pay for it. The only exception to this rule is if the car isn’t in the condition you described to us when we come to collect it. In that rare instance, we would have to reevaluate it and a new quote would be given.

What cars do you buy?

As long as your car is in reasonable condition, is driveable and has the log book, we’ll buy it! There may be cars we’re not looking to buy at the moment, depending on market conditions, but we may wish to revisit them in the future so make sure you keep in touch!

What happens when I accept your offer?

People usually do a little happy dance! Once you accept our offer, we’ll arrange a time and location that’s convenient for you for us to come and collect your car (that’s right, you don’t even have to bother with dropping it off to us). You hand the keys over to our driver and you get paid before our driver leaves. It really is that simple.

How do I send pictures of my car?

A quick snap from your smartphone is more than enough. We’ll tell you exactly what photos we need and when you upload them our software will let you know if any need retaking. This entire process should only take about 10 minutes.

What happens if I’m not happy with the price you offer?

You’re under no obligation to accept our offer. Our valuations are guaranteed for a whole week, so you’ve got 7 days to think our offer over and do your own research, but we promise that the valuation we give will be a fair one.

Does my car need to have a current MOT?

Your car needs to have a minimum of 3 months left on its MOT in order for us to buy it from you.

What if my car still has outstanding finance on it?

No problem! We can still purchase your car from you as long as the outstanding finance is less than the value of your car. If you accept our offer, all we need from you is a settlement figure from your finance company and we’ll do the rest.
